Thank you for staying with us! Please follow these simple steps before departure to help us prepare for the next guests.

Essential Checkout Tasks ✅

Kitchen

• Run the dishwasher (or wash and put away dishes)
• Wipe down countertops
• Take out kitchen trash
• Leave used dish towels on counter

Throughout the House

• Take out all trash to designated bins
• Place all used towels in bathroom
• Strip beds and leave linens in a pile on each bed
• Close and lock all windows
• Turn off all lights
• Adjust thermostat to [temperature]

Outdoor Areas

• Turn off BBQ grill and ensure it’s cool
• Put outdoor furniture cushions in storage location (if weather requires)
• Dispose of any outdoor trash
• Close and lock spa cover (if used)

Before You Leave

• Check all rooms for personal belongings
• Return keys to [location/lockbox]
• Lock all doors and windows
• Take your garage remote (if applicable) or return to [location]

You DO NOT need to:

• Deep clean the house
• Vacuum or mop floors
• Clean bathrooms (just tidy up)
• Wash bed linens or towels
• Clean inside appliances

Our professional cleaning service will take care of these tasks.

• Never turn heat below 55°F (to prevent pipe freezing)

Final Walkthrough Checklist

Before you lock up, take 5 minutes to walk through:

1. Bedrooms: Linens stripped, windows closed, lights off
2. Bathrooms: Towels left as instructed, toilets flushed, lights off
3. Kitchen: Dishwasher running, trash out, counters wiped, lights off
4. Living Areas: Windows closed, fireplace off, lights off, decorations intact
5. Outdoor: Spa covered, grill off, furniture tidy
6. Entryway: All doors locked, alarm set (if applicable)

Lost & Found

If you realize you left something behind:

• Contact property manager immediately (see Contacts page)
• We’ll search for your item and arrange return shipping if found
• Small items can often be shipped within 2-3 days

• Please still complete checkout tasks
• Let us know via text/email if possible

Late Checkout

• Must be pre-approved
• Subject to availability
• Additional fees may apply
• Contact property manager at least 24 hours in advance
